Sustainability Advisory Committee more
The
Campus Environmental Issues Committee and the Presidents Climate Commitment Committee merged to become the new Sustainability Advisory Committee in spring 2008. The mission of the Sustainability Advisory Committee is to oversee the implementation of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment and the Talloires Declaration. The committee will also recommend policies and practices which best reflect College’s commitment to an environmentally sustainable world. In addition, the committee will function as a conduit for information exchange about campus sustainability initiatives.
Zero Waste Committee more
To work towards the goal of Zero waste, the Zero Waste committee is an advisory group to provide leadership for the Macalester College Recycling Organization (MacRO), the Facilities Services department, and the Sustainability Office. The committee develops strategies for successful campus waste reduction efforts.
