Greetings

Your greeting can either be a standard (generic) greeting, personal greeting, or for when you will be away for a period of time, an extended absence greeting. The generic greeting is an automated voice that says "At the tone, please record your message to [your recorded name]."

An extended absence greeting should be recorded when you will be away from your phone for a day or more. The extended absence greeting does not erase your personal (or standard) greeting - only replaces it temporarily. Callers cannot bypass an extended absence greeting. Don't forget to include in this greeting the date you will return, and if you will or will not be checking messages while you are away.

To change your greeting:
access your voice mail box
press 4, personal options
press 3, greetings
follow the prompts when finished, press * until you hear "good-bye"
