Dan Keyser, Associate Professor, Resident Designer, and Production Manager, has attended four of the past Prague Quadrennials that happens every four years. He is an active member of the International Committee of USITT and OISTAT (the international design association). Our spring production of Three Penny Opera will be his 85th scenic design at Macalester. He is an active designer in the Twin Cities and has more than 125 scenic designs in his career. His interest in design is in the German and Eastern European Theater with special interest in "Action Design" of the Czech Republic.
Teaching Areas: Technical Theatre, Fundamentals of Scene Design, Lighting Design, Advanced Scene Design, Advanced Lighting Design, and Stage Management.
Areas of Special Interest: German and Eastern European Theatre, Computers for the Theatre and Period Styles in Architecture and Decorative Arts for the Theatre.
