Recent Macalester Shows:
Fall 2007:
Produced "Gods and Monsters," the annual Fall Dance Concert. Choreographed and performed in a work based on the complex struggles of immigration.
Spring 2007:
Rolling Footage, a dance film festival featuring work from artists in Europe, Nigeria and North America
Spring 2006:
Produced "Unbound Suspension," a concert featuring modern dance, ballet, tap and Chinese classical dance.
Choreographed and performed in "Two Think," a duet based on Chinese calligraphy and accompanied by live flute improvisation.
In collaboration with a voice specialist choreographed "Pendulum," a piece for six women who danced and sang about coming of age.
Current Scholarly/Artistic Endeavors:
Summer of 2008 traveled to Bali to observe and study traditional Balinese dance and Kecak Chant.
Plans underway for a new dance/film project integrating the five natural elements of earth, water, fire, air and ether.
