Krista Langberg

Classes currently taught: Dance Improvisation

Areas of special interest or training: Performance, Choreography, Modern Dance Technique and Somatics.

Artistic and/or Scholarly work outside Macalester:

Krista Langberg is pleased to be continuing her long association with Macalester, first as a student in 1985 and now as adjunct faculty. In a professional career spanning over twenty years, Krista danced with several Minneapolis companies, and went on to work as a principal dancer from 1994-2002 with Susan Marshall & Company in New York, performing and teaching nationally and internationally. She created original parts in six evening length works including the role of Lise in the Susan Marshall/Philip Glass Opera Les Enfants Terribles. Extensive touring included venues such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), the Edinburgh Festival, Northrop Auditorium and the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.  A graduate of the Swedish Institute in New York, she is also a licensed Massage Therapist.
