Although swimming finished out a strong season, other Mac teams weren't quite so lucky.

 Women's Basketball
Women's basketball faced some tough competition from the St. Benedict Blazers (ranked sixth nationally) on February 22. Despite a valiant effort on the part of the Scots, they fell 77–58. Despite their disappointment, the ladies had no reason to hang their heads. Sarah Hesch '03 scored 18 points, had 14 rebounds, four assists and three steals during the game. Afton Hanson '04 contributed 19 points to the cause, Emily Koller '03 scored 14 points and Alice Hacker '05 had six assists. Though ultimately unsuccessful, their valiant attempts did not go unnoticed.

 Men's Basketball
Men's basketball, on the other hand, were hard pressed to congratulate themselves after being trounced 97–64 in their game against St. John's. The Scots could not stop their opponents from scoring 48 points in the first half of the game and 49 in the second half. The win earns St. John's the 6th seed spot in the upcoming 6 team MIAC playoffs. Mac finishes its season with the knowledge that they lost nine of their final 10 games. Better luck next year!
Despite the disappointment, two players did have stand-out performances. Erik Jackson '05 scored 13 points and Ben Van Thorre '04 scored 12 points and had 11 rebounds.

 Men's Track and Field
Men's track and field faced off against St. John's, Carleton and St. Olaf in Collegeville Feb. 22 and returned home with three top three finishes. Brendan Viele '05 turned in a best individual performance for the team with his second place in the long jump (20' 3 3/4"). Andre Moulton '05 placed third in the 55 meter dash and Andrew Porter '03 pulled in a 3rd place in the shot put (44' 0").
 Women's Track and Field
The women's track and field team had a harder time of it against St. Benedict on Feb. 22. They had 3 first place finishes: Koby Hagan '06 in the 800 meter run, Erika Jerme in the high jump (5' 1"), and Johanna Shreve '05 in the long jump (16' 3"). The ladies are also able to boast three second place finishes: Marnie Christiensen '03 in the 3000 meter run, Shreve in the 55 meter hurdles and Katie Christenson '04 in the long jump (15' 11 3/4"). Despite these admirable performances, the Scots couldn't prevent St. Benedict from trouncing them 119–41.
