Men's Baseball
The men's baseball team registered their first MIAC win of the season on Tuesday with a 5–3 victory over Augsburg. The home doubleheader ended in a split when Augsburg triumphed in game two with a score of 10–1.
The Scots are now 5–13 overall, 1–3 in the MIAC.
Strong plays came from Steve Derrington '04, who allowed no hits until the fifth inning in the opening game. Augsburg rallied in the 7th inning, but the Scots held firm thanks to a save from Cormac Seely '05. Other notable players were Mike Merrill, who tripled with his first two at bats and went 3-for-3 on the game; Josh Ortiz '05, who went 2-for-3, and Scott Bell '03, who had two hits and two runs in the game.
The Scots next play this Saturday, April 12, at home against St. Olaf starting at 1 p.m. They'd love some support from their devoted fans at Mac!
 Softball
Despite a surprising strong start to the season, the women's softball team fell to Hamline in a doubleheader April 8. Although unable to score any runs themselves, the Scots kept Hamline to only three runs in the first game. Sadly, their strength could not hold out and Hamline bulldozed the Scots in game two, which ended with a score of 11–0.
Not to be disheartened the Scots look forward to their next game against Bethel on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m. Come get some fresh air and cheer them on!
 Women's Tennis
Women's tennis lost a heartbreaker to Concordia-Moorhead on April 5, losing 5–4. They kept their heads high as they went up against St. Cloud State on April 8, but unfortunately that game too ended in disappointment for the Scots, who fell 9–0.
The women's tennis team keeps their hopes up for their next match against St. Benedict on April 11 at 5 p.m. Help give them hope by cheering them on!
 Women's Water Polo
Last but certainly not least, our women's water polo team thrashed Carleton April 4, defeating their hosts 10–1. The strong team looks to continue its winning streak at the Heartland Regionals, set to take place at Macalester April 12-13. Come on out and help cheer them to another victory!
