In a surprising turn of events, the duck with the green head was elected MCSG president in the re-vote last week. “We didn’t even know he was running,” Harris Aqueel, former MCSG president stated Monday, “All I can say is he must’ve had a damn good platform.”

The duck could not be reached for comment, as he was not present in his usual spot, the mud between Dupre and Wallace Halls. “Oh he’ll be back,” sophomore Eddie Haskell, a resident of Wallace Hall claims, “He just knows exactly what he is doing. That’s why I voted for him. He certainly solicited more attention than the other candidates. He really just got his face out to the people.”

The green-headed duck did not have any posters, according to sources. “He was just very accessible,” Dee Snider ’03 observed, “He would wait on the lawn all day, in case you wanted to come by and shoot the shit, or just feed him some bread.” According to sources, the duck plans to emphasize the issue of multiculturalism in his time as MCSG president.

Aqueel sees a bright future for MCSG. “He really practices what he preaches. I mean, he and that brown duck were inseperable, and they obviously do not have the same background. He really cares about diversity, and about Macalester. I’m sure he’ll do a great job.” President Macpherson would like to state that he is pleased with the outcome of the election, calling the green-headed duck “cute as a button and a fine politician.”
