opening of the college's 18-million dollar Ruth Stricker-Dayton Campus Center
ended a two-year period that left students without a central gathering place
and, many said, without a sense of community. Most students responded with
excitement and enthusiasm to their new digs, though many find the transition
into the new building awkward and bewildering... Fire Department uses French House for training by Jonathan Beland On the afternoon of January 25, 60
firefighters from six different engine companies showed up at 169 Vernon Street,
also known as the French House, with the intention not of stopping a fire,
but of starting one.... Schadenfreude sketch comedy group to perform Saturday by Shannon Keough The discipline of sketch comedy -
like, for instance, Sociology - is suspect terrain. Like the often-maligned
slacker major, sketch comedy is often unfairly marked by the legions of schmoes
who enter the field....
