Here’s your chance to meet some of the providers at our neighborhood HealthPartners Clinics. Starting in August, a provider from the HealthPartners Highland Park Clinic will join Macalester’s Wellness Walkers each week for our Walk with a Doc series. The provider will introduce themselves, give a 5 to 10 minute talk on a health topic and then lead a 30-minute walk.

Summer chair massages for faculty and staff
Employment Services and WHAM are offering a pilot project this summer: 25 minute chair massage for $30.
Appointments are available for faculty and staff by Massage Therapist, Scott Miller, in the Leonard Center Wellness Lounge.
Dates and Times: June 10, July 8, and August 12 - every thirty minutes, with the first appointment at 11:00 am and last appointment at 1:30 pm.
- Limited to one per faculty/staff for the summer. No students or plus ones allowed for this pilot program.
- This is only available through online registration with credit card payment.
- No refunds will be offered if cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to massage date. If cancelling massage, send refund requests by email to email@example.com

Executive Chef Mike Shannon from Cooks of Crocus Hill and our Wellness Coach Kelly Fang delighted our taste buds with a sampling of oils, vinegars and salts. The Medicine of Mindfulness
Our most highly attended event during Chautauqua was an experiential introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, facilitated by Judith Lies, LMFT, founder of HEARTWOOD Mindfulness Practice Center in Minneapolis. To learn more about the 8-week MBSR classes that Judith offers, visit her website at SeedsofMindfulness.com The text for her class is Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain and Illness, by Jon Kabat-Zin. However, Judith says it is best used in the context of the class.
