Current Students
WGS
currently has twenty majors and minors in the department. Our students
are active putting theory into practice in the community at several
organizations such as:
Jeremiah Program - which serves
young, low-income single mothers and their children.
Outfront Minnesota - is a non-profit organization
that specifically addresses the housing and community needs of transgender
and queer individuals in the Twin Cities.
Planned Parenthood - provides educational programs which
enhance understanding of individual and societal implications of
human sexuality.
PrideAlive - a queer men's group that is dedicated to HIV
prevention organizing.
East Side Neighborhood Development Company - is a non-profit
organization committed to creating a prosperous multi-racial neighborhood
on St. Paul's East Side.
