Macalester Student wins Mario Savio Young Activist Award- St. Paul, Minn. October 28, 2009 - Timothy DenHerder-Thomas, a 22-year-old senior at Macalester College, has been awarded the Mario Savio Young Activist Award for his work in tackling the problems of climate change and environmental justice. As part of the award, DenHerder-Thomas received $6,000, half for his project and half to use as he wishes. The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 27, in California. more»
