James Von Geldern, German and Russian Studies, discusses the recent radioactive poisoning death of former spy Alexander Litvinenko. He is an expert on Soviet mass culture and has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to produce a digital source book on Soviet history.

Winston Kyan, Art History, talks about the exhibit currently in Macalester's art gallery called "Image and Revision in New Chinese Photography" by Zhang Dali, a Beijing based artist who has shown his work in museums and galleries throughout Asia, Europe and the United States. The exhibit runs until December 10.
