What is Podcasting?
Podcasting enables you to listen to audio files at your choosing. To begin, you need podcasting software installed on your computer (see below for options). Follow your program's instructions for subscribing to podcasts and modifying preference settings for updates, for example daily or weekly. You can listen directly from your computer through the software, or on-the-go by synching up a portable MP3 player, such as an iPod. Or, you can download the file from this site.
How to subscribe
Open your podcasting software (for example, iTunes) and search for the subscription name. Click on "subscribe."
Or, copy the series subscription link provided here and paste it into the subscription field of your podcasting software. This process may vary depending on your software.
Macalester Talks allows you to hear from a variety of people at Macalester, on subjects ranging from global warming to appearing on Jeopardy.
