Macalester and the Economy
“Macalester is fortunate to be in a better position than many of our peer institutions. However, we too have felt the impact of the global economic downturn. We exist to educate; students attend Macalester first and foremost because of the quality of that education; and we must ensure that we are delivering on our promise to provide those students with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to succeed and make a positive difference in the world.”
—Macalester President Brian Rosenberg
