MAURNEE, OHIO, NATIVE AWARDED FULBRIGHT RESEARCH GRANT AND TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP TO AUSTRIA

St. Paul, MN - Kathryn E. Tomko, a Maurnee, Ohio, native and 2003 Macalester College graduate, has been awarded a Fulbright Research Grant/Teaching Assistantship to Austria. Tomko is the daughter of Brian and Jane Tomko of Maurnee, Ohio.

Fulbright Grants and other grants for graduate study abroad are administered by the Institute of International Education. This group of scholarships is awarded with the cooperation of the Department of State, foreign governments and private donors for study in some 140 countries of the world. Approximately 958 grants will be given this year to candidates who hold at least the B.A. degree and who may not yet have received the Ph.D. Proficiency in the language of the host country is usually required.
