Senior Consultant for Marketing Research Firm
Named to Macalester's Board
St. Paul, Minn. - Paul A. Anderson, Ph.D., a San Francisco-based
senior consultant with Yarnell Inc., has been named to the Board
of Trustees at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. Yarnell,
Inc. is a marketing research and consulting firm that specializes
in qualitative marketing research for information technology companies
Prior to joining Yarnell Inc. in 1988, Anderson served on the
faculties of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pa., as
a visiting instructor and assistant professor of political science,
and at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., as an associate
professor of political science. He is the author of 17 publications
dealing with decision-making processes at the individual and organizational
levels and was the recipient of a research grant from the National
Science Foundation.
Anderson holds a Ph.D. in political science from Ohio State University
and a B.A. with special departmental honors from Macalester College.
He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Sigma Alpha at Macalester
College and his dissertation won the Jacobina Aman Dissertation
Award in international relations awarded by the department of
political science at Ohio State University.
Anderson has chaired Macalester's Information Services Advisory
Board since 1999. He recently hosted a major donor event in San
Francisco and was a leadership donor to the Touch the Future Campaign.
Macalester College is a private liberal arts college with a full-time
enrollment of 1,851 students. Macalester is nationally recognized
for its commitment to academic excellence, internationalism, diversity
and service to society.
