Macalester College Theater and Dance Department Presents
 Saturday, Sunday, Monday - November 16-19, 2006
Eldredge to direct last play

St. Paul, Minn. – Macalester College Theater and Dance Department presents Saturday, Sunday, Monday, by Italian playwright, filmmaker and actor Eduardo de Filippo, opening Thu., Nov. 16 on the Main Stage Theater of the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center, 1600 Grand Ave., St. Paul, Minn. Performances for the show, which only runs one weekend, are Thu.– Sat., Nov. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m., with matinees Sat. and Sun., Nov. 18 and 19 at 2 p.m. This will be the last play Professor Sears Eldredge will direct as a member of the Macalester faculty. Saturday, Sunday, Monday is a Neapolitan comedy about an extended family from Naples who gathers together every Sunday for dinner. Saturday night they prepare the dinner, Sunday afternoon they serve it and Monday morning they go on with their lives. In between, there’s love, jealousy and a tumultuous argument that threatens the family’s existence.

Eldredge has been a professor at Macalester since 1986. During that time, he served as chair of the Theater and Dance Department from 1986-2000 and directed a total of 22 shows.
