Senior Vice President of Aon Consulting Named to Macalester’s Board

St. Paul, Minn.–Lee Nystrom, Aon Consulting senior vice president with its Executive Benefits practice, has been named to the Board of Trustees at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., to serve four, three-year consecutive terms. Aon Corporation is a leading provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital and management consulting and specialty insurance underwriting. There are 47,000 employees working in Aon’s 500 offices in more than 120 countries. Based in Aon’s Minneapolis office, Nystrom focuses his efforts there and on major U.S. business centers including, Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Tampa.

Previously, Nystrom was at Marsh Financial Services, where he served as national director of sales and a managing director in the Minneapolis office. He has more than 30 years of experience in nonqualified executive benefits, specializing in executive retirement programs, funding and security arrangements, and insurance-based financing.  He has also worked with various types of public and privately held companies.

Nystrom holds both the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. He is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) and serves on the AALU Nonqualified Benefits Committee.
A former professional football player with the Green Bay Packers (1973-75), he was recently elected Chairman of the Board of the National Football League Alumni Board of Directors. Nystrom graduated from Macalester in 1973.
