The purpose of SPEAK! is to engage the Macalester Community in a series of intimate, on-going
conversations with dynamic, influential speakers on currently relevant transnational issues. SPEAK! Is
designed to be a student-friendly space to participate, engage, and access knowledge. What makes
SPEAK! a different type of lecture series is that speakers will talk with students rather than to students.
