This picture was taken during my spring break trip to Namibia while I was studying in Cape Town, South Africa. My housemates and I drove through the Namib Desert, one of the world’s oldest deserts and largest sand seas in the world. Here we are shown hiking Dune 45, famous for being 45 miles from Soussosvlei. It took us about an hour to climb to the dune's summit, where we watched the sun set over the desert.
