“Epic” may be the only word that encompasses the entirety of M83’s varied output, from 2003’s valentine to My Bloody Valentine, Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts to this year’s phenomenal synth-pop nostalgia piece Saturdays = Youth, heavy on the Kate Bush and the Molly Ringwald. “Epic” is a tall order to fill in concert, especially at the cramped Triple Rock, but one must have faith in M83’s French mastermind Anthony Gonzalez.
