Author’s Biography
Anna Dupay was born in
Minneapolis, MN on 02 August 1984. She is the eldest daughter of Alan and
Barbara Dupay. She graduated with
honors from Roseville Area
High School. Accepted into Macalester College, she currently plans
to major in Physics with Astronomy Emphasis, with a double minor in Russian
and Mathematics. Some of her interests
include playing the violin (bluegrass and classical), speaking Russian,
writing (for an example of one of her works, click here), and playing
soccer. She has had many influences on
her life, the biggest of which has been her church. She goes to two churches, St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, and Holy
Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church. Both
churches are considered her home, and she feels there is no other place to go
to for peace and truth. Other
influences have been trips abroad, three times to Europe, and once to Bolivia
and Peru. She likes to travel because
she enjoys learning about other perspectives and adding those views to her
own. This website arose out of Philosophy 50:
History of Western Women’s Philosophy.
The class is part of a recovery
project to rediscover women’s voices in the realm of philosophy. She chose Princess Elizabeth because she
was interested in Descartes’ philosophy, and she admired Elizabeth’s courage
in challenging Descartes’ views. For questions and/or comments,
