Chinese Barbecued Ribs
Designed by Dr. Mom (Beth Bradrick, Pittsburg, KS)

This recipe is a perfect example of why the WWW is a wonderful thing. No longer will I have to write this out for friends who insist "Hand over the recipe and no one will get hurt."

Marinate 4 pounds country style ribs or 6 pounds regular ribs in the following mixture for 4 hours or overnight:

2 teaspooons minced garlic
1 6-ounce can of pineapple juice
1 teaspoon freshly minced ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon dry white wine (optional)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon hot red pepper or cayenne
1 teaspoon Chinese sesame oil (dark)
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Before cooking, drain ribs and heat marinade until boiling to reduce possibility of contamination. Broil indoors (if it is freezing Minnesota weather outside) or grill ribs using marinade every so often to baste ribs. Or, you can partially cook ribs in the oven and finish them off on the grill.
