15 Seconds
of Fame
Andy Warhol once said that everyone eventually got their 15 minutes of
fame. With the ubiquity of television, the increasing pace of American
society, and the short shelf life of media stories, I think he was wrong.
It's more like 15 seconds of fame. Here's a few ticks of the clock
for me:
|
Jan
Shaw-Flamm, "Civil Discourse," Macalester Today,
Fall 2002.
Jim
Ragsdale, "Drawing 'em in," Pioneer Press
(St. Paul, Minnesota), Sunday, January 28, 2001, p. 3B. This
is a story about Dianna Kennedy's and my research project on cartoon
characterizations of Governor Jesse Ventura. Click on the above
