Liang Ding received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His dissertation and subsequent research focus on the market microstructure and market efficiency of the foreign exchange market. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., he obtained his B.A. from Nanjing University in Nanjing, China.

Currently, Dr. Ding is an assistant professor at Macalester College. He teaches Principles of Economics, Capital Markets and Finance.
