III. GRADING:

Your course grade will be determined by the following units (ca. 25 % each):

• Attendance, participation in discussions, oral presentation, and effort in general. Note: attendance is required. Let me know ahead of time if you can't make it--and your reason better be good. . .
• Midterm exam
• Writing project (see below).
  • Option I: The three (or three best) project grades will be averaged for one grade unit.
  • Option II: Final version grade will count as one grade unit.
• Final exam (covers material after midterm only)
