ASSIGNMENTS AND GRADING


        Assignments will consist of continuous readings and occasional writing tasks.  You will be graded on 1) regular preparation, participation and effort; 2) quizzes on translation, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary; 3) two tests.
These separate graded components will contribute to your overall grade for the course as follows:

                                                Participation and effort              20%
                                                Quizzes                                    20%
                                                Exercises/translations                 15%
                                                Test 1                                      15%
                                                Test 2                                      15%
                                                Test 3                                      15%

Letter grades will be assigned according to the following scale: A = 91-100; B = 81-90; C = 71-80; D = 61-70; NC = 0-60.
