Assignments will consist of continuous readings, a seminar presentation, a long paper, and tests. You will be graded on 1) regular preparation, participation and effort; 2) a seminar presentation on your exploration of an interpretative problem; 3) a long research paper (10-12 pp.) addressing an interpretive problem or set of interrelated problems; 4) three tests including, grammatical explanation, and short answers.
These separate graded components will contribute to your overall grade for the course as follows:

Letter grades will be assigned according to the following scale: A = 91-100; B = 81-90; C = 71-80; D = 61-70; NC = 0-60.
