Honors Proposal Guidelines
The first step in the application process for the honors program in economics at Macalester is to submit an honors proposal. For the 2010-2011 academic year, proposals are due Monday, April 12, 2010. The proposal consists of a statement of your question and a one-page description of your view of the project, possibly including some academic references and/or data you might analyze. Two copies of the proposal are submitted: one to Professor Raymond Robertson and the other to the professor you would like to work with during the 2010-2011 academic year. Descisions will be made by Friday, April 16 so that candidates will know before registration if they should sign up for the Econ 444: The Honors Seminar. Accepted canidates are expected to sign up for and participate in the Honors Seminar.
