today was the first day of school, and in one of my classes we read a list of quintessential british qualities and characteristics, one of which was "a robin in the snow." i don't think anyone knew what that meant, not even the professor (who stated so), but an unfortunate big mouthed girl tried to explain with the illuminating statement, "i think it's like, when it snows in england there are lots of robins." ruled. i think i hate her so much i will drop the class and listen to the specials in my room all the time instead. serious!
it is not very cold yet, but i feel like i have exhausted all the possibility of merriam park/macalester-groveland. actually, after i discovered the secret staircase on grand i felt like i exhausted the twin cities completely, but now that i have 65% of my records here it'd be hugely inconvenient to go anywhere else. for this reason, i ask you to recommend to me your favorite places in the twin cities. no explanation necessary, just name a location and i will find something to like about it. for the reason of coming winter, i ask you to recommend me a graphic novel or two.
i looked at a bunch of cake decorating blogs and stuff, and then i told kelly about them and she wanted to have a cake art show where we (i) bake a lot of cakes and then (she) decorates them. wouldn't that be great? this summer kelly and i are going to reunite in louisville, kentucky, which is so cheap i can't afford not to live there. i found a house on shakopee that is nascar and harley davidson themed though, so i guess i might as well live there.
there is a light that never goes out and it is directly outside my bedroom window. also one time i woke up to the sound of a concrete mixer and looked outside to find a u of m concrete mixer painted with gophers playing every imaginable sport.
