the block is hot.

about two weeks ago i moved out of my totally bogus house and in with michael and joe and willy. willy moved out so i moved out of the tiny closet i was living in and into his old room. he left a bunch of weird stuff here but the room rules, with big windows and nice green walls. i like living here a lot. leigh moved in across the street yesterday. the block is totally hot. i'm pretty psyched. unfortunately i have to move again at the end of the month, but i'm moving down the block in with 6 dudes or something. should be wild. we'll see.

my mother came to visit me this week. we went to duluth for the evening, which was beautiful, except my mom seemed to be really afraid of the hardened criminal underground in duluth breaking into the rental car to steal her yoga pants. i went to this one weird block of duluth that was exactly like minneapolis -- it had a pizza luce (which served breakfast and mexican food as well?!) and an electric fetus and a ragstock. i bought a celibate rifles lp and a selfish lp at electric fetus, but the selfish lp was scratched and warped beyond my comprehension and i returned it. bummer, really, it looked pretty raging. my mom being here stressed me out beyond belief, with every other sentence out of her mouth detailing how much fun it would be for me to hang out at every natural sanctuary, but i appreciate the gesture. anyway, everyone in duluth is a juggalo or a methhead, and the only people who ride tall bikes are actual clowns. unbelievable.

yesterday at work we had an ice cream social! my boss bought me some vegan ice cream because she remembered that i was vegan from like two years ago, so she bought me two pints of soy delicious. BEST. i was basically floating through the day on anticipation alone, but then during my lunch break i found a raging fruit salad and water cooler, and then brad walked up to me and told me there was a health food convention of some sort going on at school! we spent a half hour walking around looking for food and scored some odwalla bars and soy yogurt. man, what, best shit! the ice cream social was AWESOME too, and then i gave brad some ice cream because my boss told me i had to eat two whole pints myself and i just couldn't do it. god that ruled.

been buying a lot of records and eating out a lot. luxurious lifestyle for sure. bummed on work tomorrow, but i realized i can go swimming in minnehaha creek (though my mom and i did see a kid almost drown today). i guess life is okay. chillin.
