The gloom of eveningtide is glowering, Not a star to be seen in its heights… I myself don't know why suddenly That moment brought you back to me!… I remembered you, my dear, With your meek, radiant face… I see you… And, it seems to me, The mist begins to thin all around; It seems as if the nightingale's song Can be heard off in the green grove; Waves of shimmering flowers, And the whole sky blazes in stars.
