Internships are a great way to learn outside of a classroom. They allow you to explore career options, try on different work environments, develop new skills and earn experience. Macalester students may receive academic credit for supervised internships in addition to paid and summer opportunities. Consult with your academic adviser about the type of work that might be right for you. Recent Classical Mediterranean and Middle East majors have enjoyed positions at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Ramsey County Historical Society, Science Museum of Minnesota, Somali Museum of Minnesota, Children’s Museum of Minnesota, and Nova Classical Academy.
