Elizabeth Ernst’s research interests lie in the areas of computational complexity, algorithm design and analysis, and logic synthesis.  Before coming to Macalester College she taught Computer Science courses on programming, algorithms, and theory of computing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the University of St. Thomas.  Elizabeth has a PhD from The University of Michigan, where she studied high-performance algorithms for optimal logic synthesis.
