Reid Kruger has composed music and sound design for film, television and dance.  He is an accomplished music producer, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and studio owner.  As an artist-in-residence at The Banff Centre for the Arts, Reid studied electronic music, sound recording and post production techniques.  Faculty included George Massenburg, Bob Ludwig and Mark Willsher.

In 2006, Reid recorded Roy Haynes’ “Whereas,” which was released on Dreyfus Records and nominated for a Grammy.  Other career highlights include composing the opening score for the Emmy Award-winning television show “Natural Heroes.” Recently, Reid produced the sound design for “Wise Blood,” based on a story by Flannery O’Connor, in a production co-sponsorship by the Soap Factory and the Walker Art Center.

When he is not working in the studio or on-location, Reid is a Visiting Instructor at Macalester College, teaching electronic music and all things audio and video in their state-of-the-art Mairs Concert Hall.  He plays in several bands including The Fussy Half, Waschering Maschine, That’s What You Get (TWYG), Solate, and Artifact Shore.  When the music is turned down, Reid enjoys travel, cycling and sunlight.
