Time Course


Schizophrenia is a collection of psychoses, and can present a wide variety of symptoms.  It is characterized by disordered thought, delusions, hallucinations, and/or socially inappropriate behaviors.  A person with schizophrenia typically has predominately positive or predominantly negative symptoms, but can sometimes display symptoms from both categories.  Listed below are links to information about each of the main categories of symptoms along with information about impairments common to most people with schizophrenia, regardless of whether they are type one or type two.
