Why I chose Admissions
I first got involved in Admissions work in my first year as a Mac student when I found an opportunity to become a Tour Guide. At the time, it was a volunteer gig and I figured it’ll be a fun way to get to know my alma mater better and to connect with a diverse array of people. It was through this that I began to gain an appreciation for the intricacies of higher education work, and the many different ways in which every institution crafts their student body and experiences. It was this interest that pushed me to do more admissions work through my time as a student, and to transition to admissions work after graduation.

Community Involvement
I began as a volunteer tour guide in the Admissions Department my first year. Coincidentally, I volunteered through Lives of Commitment in high school tutoring and college advising. I returned to the Admissions Department Fall of 2020 as a Virtual Outreach Ambassador, then Admissions Ambassador as we transitioned to increased in person events.

Favorite time of year at Mac
A tie between two contrasting periods of beautiful weather: the serene calm during the last two weeks of May post commencement as summer opportunities are just starting up, and the buzz of excitement and activity in late August/early September at the start of the school year.

Love about the Twin Cities
The contrasting character of Minneapolis and Saint Paul that harmonizes so well with each other, along with the extensive greenery, charming history, and the many ways to enjoy it.
