Why I chose Admissions and Financial Aid
I got into Admissions because I believe it is important to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their background. I love meeting new people, learning about them, and sharing my own personal experience to offer any insight that might be helpful.
During my time in Admissions I have created the My Multicultural Life podcast for prospective students and have also translated our Information Session to Spanish! I am constantly looking for ways to make things more accessible to students and their families, especially Spanish speakers since I know that students oftentimes translate for their parents. As a student at Macalester, I double majored in Music and Psychology, minored in Spanish, played in the Orchestra and ran Cross Country and Track.
Favorite thing about at Mac
My favorite thing at Mac is the Midnight Breakfast event! Faculty and staff show up with aprons and spatulas to serve breakfast to students. The energy in Cafe Mac is unbelievable and it’s always great to see students having fun with their friends right before finals and winter break.
Love about the Twin Cities
I love being able to run along the Mississippi and the many opportunities to spend time outside!
