Accompanied by Macalester Professor William Moseley, travelers will explore the country\u2019s extraordinary landscapes while gaining deeper insight into its history, environment, agriculture, and culture through a series of engaging discussions delivered in the very places where these stories unfolded. For more than two decades, he has brought his expertise in Africa, agriculture, environmental change, food security, and sustainable development into the classroom, the field, and his research. His work has taken him extensively across Sub-Saharan Africa, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malawi, and Lesotho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bill\u2019s perspective is shaped not only by his academic work but also by a decade of experience in international development, including work with the Peace Corps, Save the Children, the World Bank, and USAID. He has also led Macalester study-abroad programs in South Africa, Botswana, and India, bringing a wealth of experience in helping students and travelers engage thoughtfully with the people and places they encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recipient of Macalester\u2019s 2022 Thomas Jefferson Award, Bill is known for connecting scholarship, teaching, and real-world experience.
