Jehra Patrick is Gallery Director and Curator for the Law Warschaw Gallery at Macalester College where she oversees the gallery’s exhibition program and the college’s art collection, bridging relevancy and value within the Art and Art History department, cross-departmentally, and to the broader Minnesota art community. Previously, Jehra served as Program Director for, where she oversaw the program’s digital advancement, audience development strategies, and complimentary offline programs at the Walker Art Center.

Jehra Patrick is a visual artist, curator, and independent program producer. Jehra is a 2016 recipient of the Jerome Travel and Study Grant for Digital Producers, a 2015 and 2013 recipient of the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, a 2013 recipient of the McKnight Next Step Fund, and a 2011 recipient of the Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists. She has had recent exhibitions at Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia, PA), Yeah Maybe (Minneapolis, MN), The Minnesota Museum of American Art (St. Paul, MN), The DeVos Museum of Art, (Marquette, MI),  Harcourt House Artist Run Centre (Edmonton, AB), and Rochester Art Center (Rochester, MN).

In 2014, Jehra founded and launched Waiting Room and, in 2016, its sister program WorkRoom, new, non-fixed platform intended to support artists through visual and personal networks and extending the studio practice to multiple areas of research and presentation. Born out of a start-up ethos, Waiting Room and WorkRoom insist that artists can bypass the traditional gallery model and grow their own audiences through genuine relationship-building. Jehra is a frequent writer, lecturer, visiting critic, and independent program organizer on topics relevant to practices of visual artists.
