{"id":230,"date":"2017-10-27T22:06:07","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T22:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/160-biology\/minor\/"},"modified":"2024-03-13T16:34:00","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T16:34:00","slug":"minor","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.macalester.edu\/biology\/majorsminors\/minor\/","title":{"rendered":"Minor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The requirements for a minor in biology are five biology courses, which must include two from the following core courses: <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.macalester.edu\/preview_course_nopop.php?catoid=28&amp;coid=143429\">BIOL 170 - Ecology and the Environment<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.macalester.edu\/preview_course_nopop.php?catoid=28&amp;coid=143428\">BIOL 180 - Biodiversity and Evolution<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.macalester.edu\/preview_course_nopop.php?catoid=28&amp;coid=143426\">BIOL 190 - Genetics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.macalester.edu\/preview_course_nopop.php?catoid=28&amp;coid=143427\">BIOL 200 - Cell Biology<\/a>.<\/p><p>At least two of the biology courses must have a lab.
