Our mission is to create and maintain healthy, affordable and sustainable neighborhoods by improving residential and commercial vitality in the Hamline Midway, South Como and North End neighborhoods of Saint Paul


History


Sparc serves the Hamline Midway, North End, and South Como neighborhoods of Saint Paul, Minnesota. They are a community-based nonprofit development corporation that provides small business lending, home improvement lending, construction assistance, and affordable housing and commercial development services. Over the years Sparc has implemented resources and money to help coordinate new development programs to make the community area stronger.


Projects

Home and Garden Show

Over 500 community members attend this year's one-day event to gain resources for improving their home.

St. Paul-Ramsey County Public Health

Sparc, with funds and technical assistance from Public Health and Saint Paul's STAR Program, was abe to offer a grant program to help homeowners replace windows with lead paint.

Great Northern Corridor Redevelopment

Sparc and its supporting organizations have cleaned up the once heavily polluted land area in the North End neighborhood of Saint Paul and since then have developed a home for nine light manufacturing firms.
