MCST Cinema Club

MCST Cinema Club is a group set on forming a hub and a space for movies at Macalester. Film and cinema are essential to the way we record and translate our experiences in life, and Cinema Club seeks to cherish that beauty. This is a space for everyone from casual movie lovers who want to see fun and classic flicks to buffs that want to share their knowledge with others in a productive environment. Come to meetings to watch all films from all kinds of directors from all kinds of backgrounds, eat popcorn, go on field trips to theaters for the big screen experience, AND converse and collaborate with other prospective filmmakers to make some movie magic!
The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 13 at 7:30 pm in Olin-Rice 300.  The club will be starting with a short round of ice-breakers and getting an idea of what people want from film club schedule wise, program wise and resource wise. Then we will be watching Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox" (2009) with apples and popcorn for snacks (so it'll be gluten free!) in the spirit of fall! Please reach out to Ethan Johnson ([email protected]) with any questions.
