Theater and Dance Department Presents: Portals

Portals is a sequence of nine solo performances developed in response to the question: “how do we develop resilience for getting through the pandemic and remaking our world?” The original works have been developed from newspaper articles, oral histories, poem cycles and the performers’ own lives.

Portals will premiere on Friday March 5 at 7pm CST and be viewable through March 7. Closed captioning available. For reservations please fill out our reservation form. (Google doc), or read more about the people involved on the Portals page.

Special premiere-only events on March 5 include:

*Pre-premiere “concert” of original Portals theme music by Dameun Strange ’95.

*Post-premiere discussion with the cast and creative team, led by THDA professor Harry Waters Jr. All are welcome! Listen, discuss process, pose questions!
