In recognition of the 2019 Alumni of Color Reunion and 50th Reunion of the Expanded Educational Opportunities program, Macalester issued a call for artists to create public artwork that acknowledges and commemorates the past, present, and future of alumni of color. Artist Michael Khuth ’20 was selected for his proposal of a sculpture that will represent a range of perspectives and experiences, serve as a visual and physical symbol for histories and futures on campus, and a prompt to recognize the complexity of these processes.
