New Public Impact Fellowship Program for Faculty: An Information Session

Please join the Serie Center for an information session about the New Public Impact Fellowship Program. Engaging with the media as an expert can provide considerable benefits to a faculty member’s career, not to mention help the public better understand complex issues that matter. But writing commentaries and becoming a go-to expert source can be challenging, especially when time and funds are limited. That’s why Macalester is creating the new Public Impact Fellowship program. The new program will consist of a cohort of faculty from a wide range of disciplines and career stages who are committed to elevating their scholarship and expertise through media engagement for one semester or academic year. Participating faculty will receive a stipend and a custom media engagement plan tailored to fit with professional goals. Please join Joe Linstroth, Macalester’s media relations director, to learn more, ask questions, and help shape the program from the beginning.
