Job & Internship Events at Macalester<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our office coordinates a variety of events over the academic year to highlight employers from a wide range of industries that match the interests of students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why attend? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting face time with an employer can make a valuable difference in the application process. Employers are getting record levels of applications and are relying more on relationships and connections to make hiring decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, employer events are a great way to learn more about the range of available internship and career opportunities and explore your values and interests. By talking directly with a current employer, you can learn information about company culture, hiring interests, and timelines that may not be available online. Tabling events provide low-stakes networking and interview practice and expose you to new roles that you might have not considered before.<\/p>\n\n\n

Fall Job and Internship Fair<\/h3>\n

The fair brings employers from a variety of industries to campus to network with students.<\/p>\n

Monthly Employer Tabling <\/h3>\n

These walk-up events offer a more casual environment for 7-10 local employers to recruit for jobs and internships.<\/p>\n

Regular information sessions, workshops, and on-campus employer chats for students to learn about and be considered for opportunities.<\/p>\n

MacExplore<\/h3>\n

A program that brings small groups of students on trips to explore career fields in a variety of industries. Trips take place locally and nationally over fall and spring breaks. Our staff and faculty lead students on site visits, connect them to alumni, and give them opportunities to hone their networking and career search skills.<\/p>\n

Our events are posted in many places. We also send an email each Monday during the school year to all students as a reminder of the upcoming week\u2019s events.
