Prior to joining Macalester, Amanda Duffy worked at the University of Minnesota in the College of Science and Engineering and most recently at the Undergraduate Business Career Center at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management as a Senior Career Coach. During her time at the University of Minnesota she honed her skills in major and career exploration and teaching career skills to sophomores and juniors.  She has worked in career services for 10 years and was a high school social studies teacher before making the leap into higher education. She holds a Master’s degree in College Counseling and Student Development from St. Cloud State University and a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the College of St. Benedict.

Best advice:
You do not need to know what you’re doing with your life when you come to Macalester…and you do not need to have it all figured out by the time you leave but in the meantime, have authentic conversations with those around you, ask for help, and I bet your path will become clearer.
