Lisa Ray (she/her/hers) is from a small farming town in southern Minnesota. She’s held a wide variety of jobs in publishing (including feature writer and children’s book editor), event planning, communications, and nonprofit management but has worked in higher ed for about 20 years. She has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota and an M.A. in Public Administration from Hamline University. At Macalester, Lisa does everything within her power to inform students about the opportunities and resources in the CDC. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and has two daughters.
Embarrassing on-the-job moment:
Losing my cool at an event and screaming at a vendor in front of 300 graduates and their families. (It hasn’t happened since!)
Learn and practice acceptance.
